The towing and tongue weight capacities of the Brophy 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Adapter are dependent on the hitch itself.

Find the tongue weight capacity and the towing capacity of your hitch. Once you find the capacities of the hitch, reduce them by 50 percent and that will give you the weight capacities when using this adapter.

Check the owner manual of your vehicle. If the tongue weight or towing weight capacity listed in the owner manual is less than the hitch, you must take 50 percent of figures listed in the owner manual and use those figures as your capacities.
