Can a Curt Q16 Fifth Wheel Hitch Really be Used with a Sidewinder Pin Box
Question:
I have had conflicting responses. One said I could use a Curt Q series fifth wheel hitch with a sidewinder pin box. If I use the required wedge. The other said that I could not use a Q series hitch with the sidewinder. Could you tell me which is correct?

I have a solution for you, however, the Q series and A series hitches from Curt are not compatible with sidewinders. Instead, you'll want something like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115. You'll also need a wedge # C16991 to keep the king pin from rotating inside the hitch.
