Brake Controller Install Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Ram 1500

Question:

Before being traded for a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, I removed my Primus IQ P2 brake controller and cable from my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. Your site says I need a 3024-P adaptor cable to connect to our new truck. The pictures of the 3024-P cable looks exactly like the cable I removed from our old truckwire colors, cable connectors, etc. There are no numbers other than a date on the old wire harness. Any help would be great, want to get this hooked up real soon so we can get going again. Thank You

The install harness you will need is the # 3024-P that you referenced. Your 2010 would have had a 3021-P which is different.

The connectors are pretty similar, but the pin outs of the connectors are different. That means that while the connector could possibly plug into your truck since the wires are pinned out differently the controller wouldn't function properly.
