Leaf springs are most often 1-3/4-inches wide but larger widths can also be found, up to 3-inches for very heavy-duty suspensions. We do not offer any leaf springs in a 1-1/2-inch width. It is likely that yours are indeed 1-3/4-inches wide so you might want to double-check.

I have linked you to our main page for 1-3/4-inch wide 3-leaf springs. You can click on the filters on the page to narrow the results down to the items with the correct dimensions and capacity for your set up.

First, you want to choose the type of leaf spring you need, either a double-eye or a slipper type. Next, you want to confirm your axle capacity; this is most often indicated on a sticker or plate on
the axle itself. Select a spring based on the total axle rating.

If a leaf spring is very well worn it may have stretched slightly. A leaf spring can "grow" as much as 1/2 to 3/4-inch in length after many years of use due to metal fatigue. Also, it is best to measure a spring when it is removed from the suspension so that it has no tension on it that could alter its dimensions.

I also linked two articles for you, one each on double-eye and slipper-type suspensions, that will help you identify which you have and also provide additional information on trailer suspensions.

Please note that we recommend replacing leaf springs in pairs. Doing so will ensure the trailer tracks straight and maintains correct geometry for proper handling.
