Are Taskmaster Wheel/Tire Combos Balanced At The Factory

Question:

Are the tires and rims balanced when bought together? Thanks! Im considering an ST205/75R15 radial as a spare for a covered trailer.

We receive the trailer tire and wheel combinations like the # TA47VR you'd looked at from the supplier with the tire already mounted on the wheel. The supplier does not balance the combination, but when the tire is installed to the wheel they will line the high (heavy) spot on the tire with the low (light) spot on the wheel. This does not completely balance the tire and wheel combination, but it does eliminate any excessive out of balance condition.

You can have the wheels professionally balanced if you wish, but it's not usually necessary. Because a trailer doesn't have a steering axle and won't be carrying passengers, having the tires on a trailer perfectly balanced isn't as important as it would be on a passenger vehicle.
