Benefits of Using a Custom-Fit 5th Wheel Rail Installation Kit for Husky Hitch in 2008 Ford F-250
Question:
I purchased a 16K Valley 7054 fifth mounted on a Husky EZ Slider and it came with the in bed rails. Mounting in a 2008 F250 Super Duty with 6 1/2foot box. The question is what are my options for a bracket kit? I see there is both a universal and custom and that Reese will fit as well on the husky hitch. Is a similar bracket kit less expensive if I purchase a Reese kit versus the Husky. Benefits of either? Ive read through a lot of your help comments and cant quite get the right answer. Thanks,

A custom 5th wheel bracket kit will reduce your installation time by avoiding having to drill into the truck's frame, which is needed for universal kits. For a custom bracket kit without rails that will work in your 2008 Ford F-250 you can use Husky kit # HT31408. Universal kits like the Reese # RP30035 (which includes the rails) will take a lot longer to install and will require frame drilling. Since you have Husky rails I recommend using their custom kit to avoid any potential compatibility issues.
