Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Light Assembly that Doesn't Work On One Side of Trailer
Question:
Installed this kit and everything works but the left side signal and brake light. Ive replaced the bulb, shined the metal on the bracket. Nothing works. Could the light itself have a defect? Right side is fine. Left only has tail light. Thanks

Expert Reply:
Try swapping the left side light assembly with the right to see if the problem stays on the same side of the trailer or moves to the other side. If the problem stays on the same side there is a problem with the ground or the wiring of the lighting.
If the problem moves then you know the issue the light assembly.
You may try running a jumper wire for the ground for the bad assembly back up to the main ground of the trailer.
