2002 Mercury Mountaineer Brake Controller Port Location and Install Harness
Question:
I have a 2002 Mercury mountaineer with the factory tow package. I bought a trailer brake but I cannot find the pigtail that is supposedly under the dash somewhere. Can you help me as to where the pigtail would be located in my vehicle?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer have 6-pin connectors behind the glove box on the passenger's side that you would use for the installation of a brake controller with the # 3035-P.
I attached an install video that shows where it is as well.
