Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country
Question:
We had our Town and Country 2011 Chrysler fitted with this model by a trailer dealer and have used it twice without issue. Yesterday when we most needed it, we plugged our trailer in and we could not get the lights to work properly. No break lights, only one blinker, and lights stayed on, on the trailer even when we shut off the vehicle. Now this is the second time this has happened. We bought a Curt which we installed ourselves on our Jeep Patriot and the exact same thing happened. Two successful trips and the third time, trailer lights stayed on even with the vehicle was off and the something was not working or not working properly brakes, blinkers, clearance lights... Our trailer is brand new and has been plugged into other vehicles without issue. This is very disappointing and costly. I can honestly say, that we will not be purchasing a Curt product again.

I almost always recommend Tow Ready wiring harnesses because we hear about less issues with them than with Curt harnesses, especially the ones that connect to the vehicle battery. For your 2011 Chrysler Town and Country I recommend harness # C56331. It even costs a little less. We have heard far less issues from our customers with the Tow Ready harnesses.
It will install the same way as the Curt harness but I did link a video showing an installation for you. You would not have to run a new power wire unless you wanted to. Provided the power wire from the malfunctioning Curt harness is fine you can reuse it.
