5-Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Carrier and Compatible Cable and Hitch Locks

Question:

Dear eTrailer, I dont see Curt has an anti-rattle hitch lock with cable together. Its really good to be able to lock the bike rack and along with the bikes on it using 1 one key only. On your website I find this Swagman hitch pin lock and cable set # S64030. Will the thread and shank diameter from this Swagmans hitch pin work with Curt Premium hitch bike rack # 18065? Can you please verify if the two items can work? Otherwise is there any other hitch pin lock and cable set that is compatible with Curt Premium bike rack? Thank you in advance.

You wouldn't be able to use the Swagman lock on the Curt bike carrier. Bike rack manufacturers thread the bolts and shanks uniquely so that you can't use competitors products. There are some one-off exceptions but since they are not tested together it would not be a good idea to use them together.

You could consider the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting Item # Y02463. This rack uses the Same Key System (SKS) locks to deter theft of the rack and your bikes. The SpeedKnob lock secures the rack to your vehicle and then it has an integrated cable lock that secures your bikes to the rack. I attached.
