I can provide the installation details for the Derale 40/60-Amp Relay, # D16764. You will need wiring harness # D16763. The relay will come already plugged in. The orange wire on the harness goes to the #87 terminal on the relay. Yellow and green wires go to the #85 terminal. Red goes to the #30 terminal. Black goes to #86 terminal.

The other end of the red wire on the harness will connect to the positive battery terminal. The other end of the yellow wire will connect to a thermostat switch, and then to an ignition switch and this will allow the fan to turn on and off when the engine reaches certain temperatures.

Another option is to run the yellow wiring to an in-cab switch like the Derale Lighted On/Off Switch for Electric Fans, # D16740. This will allow you to manually turn on and off the fan.

The other end of the black wire on the harness will connect to a ground point on the vehicle chassis. The green wire can be connected to the A/C clutch but is optional.

The blue wire on the fan will connect to the orange wire on the harness. The black wire on the fan will connect to the negative battery terminal. We used Derale 16 inch Dyno-Cool Curved-Blade Electric Fan, # D18916, for reference.
