Why Would Sidewinder Arm Tow at an Angle

Question:

Should you be able to swing the sidewinder manually, sometimes the trailer does not track evenly behind my truck, looking for a place to lubricate it but cant find a spot unless I loosen the big nut off to Greece the plate. Would appreciate any suggestions Thanks

Sidewinders are not designed to be swung by hand. The clearance between the arm and the turret is way too tight to allow for that. I have had the joy of trying to install an arm into a turret and it was very challenging.

If your Sidewinder isn't tracking straight behind your trailer it is because of a wedge issue on the Sidewinder.

You could be using the wrong wedge for your hitch or it needs to be orientated properly.
