Thank you for your recent purchase.
Ultra Fab Electric A-Frame Jack # UF38-944037 uses a 7-way RV-style plug to make its two wiring connections, ground and +12V. The other locations in the plug have no contacts.
You can test both the vehicle's trailer socket and the jack's plug to determine where the problem is.
If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2993 you can apply it to the pins on your vehicle 7-way. Please refer to the linked photo for the usual wiring configuration. The two contacts for +12V and ground match up to those on the jack's plug and will be at the 1-o-clock and 7-o-clock positions as you look at the vehicle's socket.
If you detect voltage on the pin with your tester, then move on to the jack. If not, then check your vehicle's fuse/relay and its wiring leading to the socket for any signs of damage and replace/repair as needed.
You can also apply 12V power directly to the jack using a spare battery or the one in your vehicle. The jack should operate when you feed it a direct 12V power input. If the jack works when tested in this way then you know the problem is likely to be within the vehicle's wiring.
