Recommendation for a Folding 3 Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Rack for a 2006 Jeep Liberty
Question:
Hi-I drive a 2006 Jeep Liberty tire on back and would like to purchase a bike rack for 3 bikes. I like the Rola Triple X Folding 3 hitch, but dont know if it will work given the tire on the back of my Jeep. I need something easy to install and take down and something affordable. Will the Rola work or do you recommend something else? Thank you,

To determine what rack will fit your 2006 Jeep Liberty, there is an important measurement that you will need to take. Place something flat that will reach the ground, like a yard stick, against the spare tire. Next, measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the yardstick. You will need a rack that extends further than this distance in order for it to fit beyond the spare tire.
The Rola Triple X measures 6 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the up right bar when used in a 1-1/4 inch hitch. 5-5/8 inches when used in a 2 inch receiver.
I recommend the SportRack 3 Bike Hitch Mount Folding Rack, # SR2703. This is a 3 bike, folding rack like the Rola, but it measures 12-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the up right bar. It will fit in 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch Class II or III trailer hitches.
