Fitting Three Bikes on Thule Passage Trunk Mount Three Bike Carrier on 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

I have 3 bikes and dont see any pics or comments about loading all 3. I saw pic of 2 bikes and it looked unbalanced. Am only 110 lbs myself....can I do it alone? I have Subaru outback 2015. thank you.

Thule has determined that the three bike version of their Passage Trunk Mount Bike Rack, part # TH911XT is indeed a fit for your 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon. The rack can accommodate 3 bikes weighing up to 35 lbs each.

If you're capable of lifting the bikes off the ground for a few seconds, you wouldn't have much trouble loading bikes on the rack. In order to get the bikes to fit, I'd recommend alternating the directions each bike faces. The cradles are capable of moving around a bit, as well which will allow you to get a good fit.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll link you to a video showing how the adapter bar works.
