Question:

I was wondering if you had a tow bar and mount to tow a 1998 chevy express van with 2000 chevy truck. Van broke down and my trailer is not wide enough to tow it. Its a one time tow but its a 8 hr trip. Van broke down in PA and I live in OH. its a 3 1/2 hour drive to van then tow back to OH.Any help would be appreciated.

To start, I have included an article which covers the 5 basic components required for flat towing. I will cover each of these for your 1998 Chevrolet Express Van. Since you mention that this will most likely be for one time use, I will offer the most economical options available.

1) Tow Bar - RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. This tow bar has a 6,000 lb capacity and works with all Roadmaster vehicle-specific base plates, EZ, MS, MX, XL and standard.

2) Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit # 3106-1 for 2500 and 3500.

3) Safety Cables - RoadMaster 68 Inch Single Hook Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643.

4) Tow Bar Wiring - Optronics Magnetic LED Tow Lights, # TLL21RK, are an easy, cost-effective option for lighting.
