Does your Equinox have the factory roof rack with cross bars? If so, you will need to make some measurements to determine the rear clearance of the cargo box. If the cross bars on your Equinox are movable, move the front bar as far forward as possible. The cross bars will need to be a minimum of 23-5/8 inches apart, so move the rear bar into position so that it is that distance away from the front bar. With the bars positioned in this manner, and the mounting brackets for the box slid to the rear most point of the cargo box, there will be approximately 16 inches of clearance from the rear cross bar to the end of the box.
Making these measurements should give you an idea of how the box would fit on your vehicle.
