Is Reese Replacement 16K Head Compatible with Reese Part # 30048
Question:
I have a Reese 30048 Kwik Slide with a 30049 head. The unit has been discontinued. I want to know if I can use the 30048 Kwik Slide with the 58165 replacement head. The rails and Kwik Slide unit are already installed in my truck but the 30049 is not locking the king pin properly. I need to know what head I need to relpace the 30049 Thank You

I called my contact at Reese and he confirmed that the Reese Replacement 16K Fifth Wheel Head, part # RP58146, is the correct replacement head for the Reese 15K Kwik Slide # 30048 with # 30049 head. The 2-Piece jaw provides excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact.
