Comparing a 5th Airborne with Companion Hitch and a Reese Goose Box Adapter

Question:

Trying to decide which setup to go with. My current pinbox is a lippert 1716 not marked, according to the measurements. I have a Ranch Hitch gooseneck adapter on it. If I go with the 5th airborne pinbox them I will need the companion RVK3500 as well. I could also go with the Reese Goose Box . Im having trouble locating information on dimensions of everything. My 5th wheel is a 2010 Sierra 355QBQ. Its over 14,000 lbs. What do you suggest? What is the measurement from the kingpin to the center of the first set of holes on both pinboxes?

First, on the Goose Box, # RP94716-61301, for Lippert 1716 pin boxes it measures 17-3/4 inches from the center of the king pin to the center of the nearest row of bolt holes. And on the 5th Airborne pin box, # 5AB-E510-710, it measure 18-3/4 inches.

The Goose Box is approved for use by Lippert for 5th wheel trailers that have a Lippert frame. It is an excellent option that won't require putting in and taking out a heavy 5th wheel hitch to switch from towing a 5th wheel trailer to a gooseneck trailer.

You also get the same quality air ride in the Goose Box as you would with the 5th Airborne. And since you would only need the Goose Box you would be saving money because you would not need a hitch to fit the gooseneck ball hole plus an air ride pin box.
