Does the Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors Have a Proximity Alarm
Question:
Besides the colors in the screen, is there a sound of some sort that warns when objects are close? And does the camera run all the time, or only when vehicle is in reverse?

Expert Reply:
The Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors, item # HM60195VA, has green, yellow and red distance indicators at the top of the screen and has an audible alert that sounds when an object gets close enough to the rear of the vehicle to activate the red distance indicators.
The power wire on the camera should be connected to the reverse light circuit behind a vehicle tail light assembly, and the camera and sensors will activate only when the vehicle is shifted into reverse.
