Weight Distribution and Sway Control for Keystone Travel Trailer with 705 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

I have a 32 2006 Keystone travel trailer with a hitch weight of 705 lbs and a loaded trailer weight 7500 lbs. I am towing with a 2008 GMC 1500. Is the strait line 66087 Reese the proper system for me?

Expert Reply:

If that 705 lb tongue weight figure that you mention represents a fully loaded trailer that will never have more weight than that, the Reese Weight Distribution System part # RP66540 will work perfectly for you.

If the tongue weight would approach or exceed the 800 lb limit when fully loaded with gear, part # RP66084 would be a better choice for you. This system works well for trailers with tongue weights ranging from 600-1200 lbs. I have included a link to the installation details below.
