Which Weight Distribution System Should I use for a 2009 Ford E350 with a 1,100 Pound Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a 2009 E350 Ford Van and pulling a custom built toy hauler that is 25 feet long with 1,100 lbs tongue weight. Iwant to replace the EAZ lift with a Reese dual cam sway system. My frame is 6 inch box on the tongue so will the Trunnion bars clear or should I use the round bar system? Also should I stick with 1200 max tongue weight or go with the 1500max tongue weight such as the 66130 system. Your web site is one of the best Ive ever used.

I am glad to hear you have found our site useful.
With a weight distribution system, you ideally want your loaded tongue weight to be in the middle of the tongue weight range of the spring bars. This helps to keep your ride from being too stiff with over rated bars, and it keeps the weight distribution system working by not pushing the limits. With an 1,100 pound tongue weight, I would choose a kit with 1,500 pound spring bars like part # 66130.
You will not be pushing the maximum tongue weight limit with this kit, and you will have room to grow if your tongue weight increases.
You should not have a problem with the trunnion bars on 6 inch tall boxed framing. If you like, you can send pictures of your trailer coupler and nose and I can take a look. I have included a link to the 66130 kit below as well as to an installation video of a similar kit on a Ford Full Size van.
