You will need to check your owners manual or with the car dealer to see if your 2006 Honda Element can be flat towed. Some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, driveline disconnect or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed. If the correct procedure is not followed it will cause severe damage to the transmission.
If you will be able to flat tow your vehicle, you can use the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit, # 1541-5, on your 2006 Honda Element to tow behind your motorhome. It fits both the Honda Element EX-P model and the non EX-P model.
You will also want to check in the owners manual or with the motorhome dealer for the maximum towing capacity for your motorhome, to make sure it will be able to tow the vehicle and the contents.
The MX base plate kit will not work with a tow bar that requires a hitch ball. It will only work with a Roadmaster tow bar that slides into a 2 inch trailer hitch, like the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520.
I would also recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154, with this kit the vehicle brake lights will function as both brake and turn lights. It will also have the diodes that prevent feedback from going from the taillights on the towed vehicle back to the vehicle that will be doing the towing.
You will also want to use the RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643, for extra security of your towing system.
