Is Brake Light Switch Available for 2015 Dodge Journey to Allow Installation of Brake Controller

Question:

Trying to install electric trailer brake controller on 2015 Dodge Journey. There is no brake lamp switch. Just a 5volt pedal travel sensor that the BCM uses to activate LED tail lamps for brake lights. Do you make a separate switch kit to install and use?

On a vehicle that does not have a brake light switch that carries a 12V signal to trigger a brake controller I highly recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180. This system requires you to do no wiring in the vehicle and simply plugs into the 7-Way connector at the bumper. It then gets paired to your smart phone via Bluetooth.

Your phone is then what you use to adjust any settings or activate the manual override, so an additional component or controller inside the vehicle isn't needed.
