Spring Bars to Upgrade Capacity of Pro Series PS49581 Weight Distribution System to 1000lbs

Question:

I currently have the pro series RB3 PS49581 system, which is rated at a tongue weight of 550 lbs. I am changing to a trailer that has a tongue weight of 720 lbs, but with the weight of items in my truck bed it will easily exceed 850-900 lbs. The RB3 system for the higher PS49583 system looks identical to my system except the higher rated round bars. Just want to double check that I can swap these bars with my current ones and everything will fit into the current RB3 ball mount as well as change my ball from 2 inch to 2 5/16inch medium shank.

You can indeed upgrade the capacity of your # PS49581 system by using the # PS58441 replacement 1000 lb capacity spring bars. I've confirmed this with Pro Series for you.

To replace your current 2 inch ball for a 2-5/16 ball, use part # 19286.
