Installing 4-Pole Trailer Connector on 1986 Chevy C/K Series 1 Ton Pickup
Question:
I have a chev 86 1ton dully the truck harness has 4 wires, yellow, brown, dark green, lite green. 4 way plug has w, b, y, g. What goes were? Please help me.

On the 4-way plug, yellow is left turn/brake, green is right turn/brake, brown is running lights and white is the ground.
On your truck's harness, the color code should be pretty much the same, but the light green wire is likely to be the ground. I'd recommend using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to confirm. Have a helper activate each turn signal function and the running lights as you check the wires with the tester.
