Avaiability of Towing Bike Rack for 1-1/4 Inch Receiver Hitch

Question:

Hi, Do you have the bike rack to carry 2 bikes and small trailer for 1-1/4” square ball mount? Similar like Swagman Hitch Bike Racks - S64664 but this one is for 2” square ball mount. Thanks

A product like the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk # CC-275 and a lightweight bike rack like the Kuat Beta, part # B202-2 would be a possible option. The Bike Bunk is compatible with A-frame trailers that are between 14-55 inches wide, weighs about 40 lbs, and the bike rack weighs about 15 lbs. Keep in mind that the weight of the rack, the bikes and the trailer tongue weight couldn't exceed the tongue weight capacity of your hitch. Your hitch should have a capacity sticker on it somewhere.

Neither Swagman nor our other bike rack manufacturers offer a towing bike rack for a 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver. This is due to the fact that the Class I hitch typically has a tongue weight of only 200 lbs. When you deduct the 30 or so pound weight of the rack and the weight of the bikes, there won't be much capacity available for the trailer tongue weight.
