Which Transmission Line is the Return Line for on a 2007 Uplander for Install of Cooler

Question:

is the video correct for the uplander? is it the upper transmission line that i need to tie into? on the parts its description is the inlet line. Also with compression fittings, would i need to use 3/8inch O.D comp fittings or 5/16? Thank You,

When you install a supplemental transmission cooler in a vehicle you want it to be downstream of the factory cooler in the radiator. When we installed a cooler in similar Uplander as yours we found that the return line (the one to use for installation), was the one nearest the radiator cap.

To verify which line to use you can go out to your vehicle when it is cold and start it up, put it in gear and while holding the brakes raise the rpms by pressing the accelerator slightly. Quickly turn the vehicle off and feel the two lines. The cooler of the two is the return line.

The snap in adapter you would need is the part # D13035 for the radiator.

I attached the install video I referenced.
