Curt X5 Adapter Recommendation for a B and W Gooseneck Hitch to Allow Fifth Wheel Hitch Install
Question:
Just purchased a 2006 f-350 super duty long bed. It has an under bed gooseneck with a square shank. I need to adapt this to a Reese 5th wheel hitch. Will the Curt x5 work?

Expert Reply:
Since you said you have a square shank gooseneck hitch installed in the bed of your 2006 Ford F-350 there is a very strong chance it is a B and W gooseneck hitch part # BWGNRK1108 and the Curt X5 adapter part # 16310 would fit it and work well as an adapter for you to use with your Reese fifth wheel hitch.
What you will want to do is get underneath your truck to see if you can find anything that would identify your gooseneck hitch. If it is a B and W hitch there should be a sticker on the side bracket and the brackets themselves will be grey in color.
