Trunk Mount Bike Carrier for a 2012 Lexus RX 350 with Spoiler
Question:
We are used to using strap on bike racks , but have been told that we cant use one on our RX 350 because it would damage/ruin our spoiler that for this model comes at the top of the rear hatch door. You list this as fitting the RX 350 ... can you Thule verify that this will fit our sub and not damage the spoiler , if installed and fitted to the vehicle properly ?

Like you said, the Thule bike carrier # TH910XT technically fit, but I do not recommend putting any stress on that spoiler at the top of the hatch on your 2012 Lexus RX 350. Thule now says that this is not a confirmed fit, but I do have the prefect solution for you.
I recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2 for 2 bikes or # HRF2-3 for 3 bikes. These racks have an additional upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over that spoiler so no weight is put on it (since the spoiler is not meant to support weight). I have included a link to a video that shows how it works.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
