Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Short Bed

We have a 1500 GMC Sierra 5.3 Ltr Crew cab short box new body style. We would like to put a gooseneck hitch in it to haul a horse trailer and horses. The trailer is 6000 lbs. Each horse is 1100 lbs. We would like to haul 3 horses on the highway. Is this possible?

First thing you need to do is check the owners manual to determine what the towing capacities are for your 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. You will need to add up the weight of your trailer and horses and compare that figure to the capacity to determine if it would be adequate or not.
For a gooseneck hitch the Draw Tite part # 9465-54 that you referenced would fit your vehicle and would work well. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
