Universal 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit for a 2004 Ford F-250 Long Bed

Question:

Im looking for a measurement for the ear rail in my 2004 long box f250 super duty. ive taken the rail and brackets out of a f150 series truck short bed. the fifth wheel hitch is husky 16k.not sure if the rails and brackets r adaptable to my truck. I think the rails are but not sure on the brackets

If you are using the Reese universal installation kit # RP30035 then it is compatible with your 2004 Ford F-250 long bed. The measurement from the rear edge of the bed to the back edge of the rear rail is 32-1/2 inches on your truck.

The rails and brackets can be reused but not the hardware. It is meant to be torqued down just once. To replace the hardware you will need # 58164.

If you are using a different 5th wheel installation kit I would need to know what it is to determine if it is a fit for your truck and what the measurement is.
