Will Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack Damage Rear Window on 2008 VW Rabbit

Hello. Can I truly use the Hollywood racks express 3 bike rack trunk mount fixed arms for $60 for my 2008 Volkswagen rabbit? At the bike store they told me they wouldnt recommend this product for a VW rabbit because of the rounded back window as the bike handles could supposedly break the rear window. Is this true?

I spoke with my contact at Hollywood Racks and he confirmed that the Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack # HRE3 has been tested with the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit and there were no issues found as far as handlebars breaking the rear window, nor had my contact heard of this happening.
