Recommended Lightweight Bike Rack for Honda Fit 2015

Question:

What are your recommendations for a bike rack for a Honda Fit. I want something that is light with ground clearance. Also, is it possible to get a rack that I dont have to lower in order to open the hatch-back trunk? Kurt Hitch. Thanks.

If you want access to your Honda Fit's hatchback trunk with your bikes loaded on your bike rack you will have to tilt away your bike rack or remove it entirely. There are no swingaway bike racks available for your vehicle at this time and using an adapter or extender to gain additional clearance would reduce the carrying capacity of the rack. However, with a lightweight tilt-away rack like The Kuat Beta, # B202-114, which you referenced, this should not be difficult at all.

The Beta is one of our best racks for for 1-1/4" trailer hitches. It is extremely lightweight and easy to use and easy to store. The anti-sway cradles with anti-rattle device make sure your bikes are secure. I would highly recommend this rack.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
