Installation Position and Location of the P-3 and Prodigy Brake Controller on a 2010 Chevrolet Truck

Question:

It sounds like neither the P-3 nor the Prodigy need to be installed in the level position. Is this correct? Also, if this is correct do you want to have the controller mounted so you can reach it without stretching too far?

You are correct the P-3, item # 90195, and the Prodigy, item # 90885, do not need to be installed level front to back but it does need to be level side to side and parallel to the direction of travel for proper operation. The Prodigy will automatically acquire the proper level setting and will also automatically adjust as you travel up or down hills. I have linked directions for you to review.

Any brake controller needs to be installed within easy reach of the driver and where the display can be viewed while driving. This allows the driver to set the controller easily when differing road conditions are encountered and allows the driver to apply the trailer brakes manually if needed.
