Can Shorter Bolts Be Used to Install Trailer Valet
Question:
I have a question regarding the Trailer Valet Trailer Jack - STC-V211. I recently purchased this from etrailer. I attempted to install it last night, but discovered the supplied bolts are too long for my trailer frame and the threading does not go up the bolt far enough. Can I replace these with shorter screws from hardware store? If so, what bolt size and thread size should I get? Thank you,

You could definitely replace the mounting bolts of the Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 with shorter bolts that would fit your trailer. Your best option would be to measure to see how much shorter you would need the bolts to be and then take them with you to the hardware store and pick out a set of nuts/bolts that are the same diameter and the desired length.
I would go with at least Grade 5 hardware.
