Best Place to Mount Derale High-Performance Stacked-Plate Cooler # D51008 on 1991 Chevy HotRod Truck
Question:
where is the best place to mount this trans cooler. Rad does not have internal cooler. Do i need a fan for this trans cooler? This is not a heavey duty truck. Just a hotrod truck with a 700r4 on a 327 sbc engine Thankyou

The best place to mount a transmission cooler is right in front of the AC condenser core. The second best place would be between the AC condenser and the radiator. The least efficient place would be behind the radiator. I have attached an illustration, as well as a help article, for you.
Stack-plate coolers are the most efficient coolers so as long as you install the Derale High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler, # D51008, where it will be getting the maximum amount of air flow, a fan shouldn't be needed.
