Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta

My little girl is moving to Denver this summer. From my reading i realize she is going to need seperate snow tires for the winter like my dad did in Va in the 60s when i was a kid. What is the best tire chain for her on her 2009 VW jetta TDI. There are so many different types. She is a hands on, outdoor type.

Snow tires are a great option for a vehicle that will be in a climate that will see a lot of snow. And then having chains as a back up for when things get really bad is an excellent idea.

First thing you will need to do is check the owners manual of the vehicle to determine if there are any snow chain restrictions.

Next you will need to determine what size tires you will be putting on the vehicle so that you can pick out the correct chains to fit them. If you go with one of the standard sizes for the vehicle like the 225/45-17 then I would recommend the Thule Set part # TH00023095 as they have great wheel clearance and are very easy to install.
