Purpose of the 4 Holes in the Bed of a 2015 Ram 3500 with Factory Gooseneck
Question:
The factory safety chain hooks fit in the 2 rear holes of a 4 hole set up. What are the front 2 holes for. My natural instinct tells me I would want to hook the safety chains in the front 2 holes but the hooks do not fit. What are the front 2 holes for? What are your thoughts about hooking the safety chains in the rear hooks?

Expert Reply:
The safety chains of your 2015 Ram gooseneck factory hitch will install in the two rear pucks that are behind the ball. The two in the front are for if you wanted to install a fifth wheel hitch. The hitch would install in all four of the pucks.
For that you would want a fifth wheel hitch part # RP30918.
