Fit of Airaid # AR201-796 Cold Air Intake on 2010 Chevy Silverado 2500HD w/ 6.0L Engine
Question:
This part showed up when searching for a CAI for my 2010 Chevy 2500HD but several of the comments reference 2012s. I know that for some reason or another, its difficult to find CAI parts for my 2010. Will this actually fit my truck? Also, is it necessary to purchase a full CAI kit, including the box, when it seems that my Silverado basically already has a factory CAI?

Your 2010 Silverado did indeed come with a factory cold air intake. The Airaid # AR201-796 works with your existing box, and comes with the Dry 2-layer performance air filter and intake tube. The tube is specifically designed to allow the maximum amount of airflow into the engine.
