Trailer Hitch and 4-Bike Carrier with Locks for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

Is this available in 4 racks? My van is dodge caravan 2014 and Im just wondering if this model has the 4 racks and if i buy the HRB3 model does it come with the locks? Thank you and have a good day.

All of the trunk mount bike carriers we offer carry either 2 or 3 bikes at most. I have seen trunk mount carriers that can hold 4 bikes but it is not a good idea. The further away from the vehicle you get the more leverage is placed on the attachment points on the vehicle which could lead to loss of bikes and carrier as well as damage to the vehicle.

If you need to carry 4 bikes the best option is a trailer hitch and hitch mount carrier. This is also the safest way to carry the bikes and there will be no contact with the vehicle.

For a trailer hitch I recommend # 75579. This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I have linked a video showing how it installs on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan for you.

Then for carrier that includes hitch and bike locks I recommend the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476. I have included a link to a video review of this carrier for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
