Troubleshooting Grease Seal that Keeps Blowing Out on Trailer Axle
Question:
I have a new HF #5002 trailer and i am having problems with axle and the bearing seals. The seals keeps leaking grease. I want to replace the 30 mm spindle axle and hubs with a 1-1/4 inch ones

It sounds like your problem may be that you are installing too much grease into the hubs and that is why they are blowing out.
If you are pumping your grease into your hub with a grease gun you should note that you should only continue to add grease to the hub until you begin to see the outer bearing move or you see grease seeping through the outer bearing. If you pump the grease slowly and rotate the hub, you should not blow the grease seal. Once you see the grease seeping through, you can install the washer, spindle nut and nut retainer.
