Why Does Yakima FullSwing Bike Carrier Swing To The Passenger Side Of Vehicle
Question:
I noticed that both the Swing dady and the Full swing rotate from center to right passengers side Is there a model that swings to the other side of the vehicle? Thanks

The swing action of the Yakima FullSwing, part # Y02465 is designed to swing open to the passenger side of the vehicle.
I called my contact at Yakima about the bike carriers and they told me it is for safety reasons. If the rack were to swing to the driver's side of the vehicle, it would pose a danger to the person loading and unloading the bikes as well as anyone driving by.
I have attached product review videos for these bike carriers you can check out.
