What Kind of Gains Would Edge Evolution CTS2 EP85450 Tuner Provide 2001 GMC Sierra
Question:
This little 4.8 V8 has to downshift if theres a small rise in the road. Will the Bullydog Performance Chip provide noticable gains with this motor? Is there another product that combined with it will provide better gains than just the chip cold air intake, ??? Thanks!

The Edge Evolution CTS2 tuner # EP85450, in conjunction with a cold air intake system would provide a noticeable increase in horsepower and torque in your 2001 GMC Sierra. This will result in the engine pulling you up to speed more quickly. For best results, I would recommend using the premium power level which requires 91 octane fuel.
In the Extreme setting, the Evolution CTS2 can provide increases up to 15 hp and 15 foot/lbs of torque. The cold air intake can add up to an additional 14 hp and 14 foot/lbs of torque, however the total power gained may be less than the sum of the parts. Increases also will depend on the overall condition of the drivetrain and other factors like your driving style and the ambient environment.
