What Pins on a 7-Way Need to Be Activated for a Prodigy RF Controller to Function
Question:
I purchased the Prodigy RF for a 2015 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I am unable to pair it now. I am getting the n.c. indicator on the unit. I suspect the controller is not powered. Can you tell me the purpose of the two connections coming from the car and how they relate to the pairing process? One is Electric Brake - the #2 pin, and the other is Battery Charge - the #4 pin. Using a probe type voltage meter I get no signal from either when the car is powered on. Note: Its a hybrid so the engine is not running. Thanks,

In order for the Prodigy RF Brake Controller part # TK94FR to pair and function properly the 12 volt accessory circuit on your 7-way will need to have 12 volts. Otherwise the controller will not turn on and would not pair.
The 12 volt circuit will be the in in the 2:00 position on your 7-way as you are looking into it.
The 4:00 pin is the brake output and would not be used as that circuit would be for a brake controller mounted in the cab of the vehicle.
