Fit of Ultra-Fab # UF17-943010 Landing Gear on 2010 Coachman Rookstone 341RE 5th Wheel
Question:
I am having trouble lifting my fifth wheel on and off the truck. The jack motor overheats and trips the circuit breaker. after cooling for a minute it will operate for approximately 5 to 10 seconds. I suspect motor drag but not sure. The motor also seems to have a lot of movement when operating. Possibly putting it in a bind. I like the idea of independent jack operation and no cross shaft. Will the Ultra Fab 17-943010 work on my 2010 341RE Brookstone manufactured by Coachman ?

The Ultra-Fab Electric Landing Gear you referenced, part # UF17-943010 aren't coach specific, they should fit your 5th wheel if their capacity is sufficient and there's a place to mount them. Both legs combined offer a 12,000 lb capacity.
The landing gear is designed to be mounted to the vertical parts of the trailer chassis on a 5th wheel trailer under the overhang. If you have sufficient space, you can attach the brackets to the chassis under the overhang then you can install landing gear like # UF17-943010.
The mounting brackets will need to be welded to the frame. Welding should be performed only by a qualified professional welder. The jacks will then bolt to the brackets.
