Would Over Tightened Sway Control Cause Sway
Question:
My wife pulls a vintage 16foot Shasta with a 4Runner. It has a ezlift and anti sway slide bar and before now had no problems.. She just got back from a trip and experienced sway problems. Is it possible to create a sway problem by over tightening the sway bar? It was adjusted very tight. Thanks for your help in advance!

Typically over tightening a friction sway control unit won't cause sway. If anything, under-tightening it will cause it.
Most likely there was a different change in your setup. Not having enough tongue weight on a trailer will cause sway the easiest. You would want to check the condition of the suspension components. Worn out suspension or under-inflated tires can cause sway as well.
