Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Ford F-250 with Tow Package
Question:
Hi, I have a 2001 coachman royal that has the lippert 0115 king box and I am wanting to convert it to a gooseneck since my 2012 f350 king ranch came with the gooseneck tow package installed the problem is the truck is a short bed 6 and 3/4 feet will this goose box give me enough turn without hitting my truck cab? If it will not is the an adapter the will get me there?

The Goose Box will not give a short bed truck additional clearance to make a sharp turns.
If your 2012 Ford F-350 has the gooseneck hitch from the factory it would also have the factory pucks for installing a fifth wheel hitch. I attached a help article that details this package. You should see 4 pucks installed in the bed of your truck like in the picture I attached.
For that I would recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Hitch part # DM8550024 as it will fit this tow package and will automatically slide back for clearance around sharp corners.
