Trailer Manufacturer Calls for 185/80-13 Tires- Can 175/80-13 Tires Be Used Safely
Question:
the sticker on my boat trailer says to use St185/80r13 but I have st175/80r13 tires. Will these be good enough to use?

As a general rule, we typically recommend that folks follow the vehicle/trailer manufacturer's recommendations to the letter. However, the ST175/80R-13 tires you're wanting to use are only 1/2 an inch smaller in diameter and have a tread width of only 1/4 of an inch narrower than the recommended tires. That small of a size differential won't have any negative effects. The ST175/80R-13 tires will work fine.
