Recommendation for Adapting Hitch Receiver for Bike Rack
Question:
My bike rack has a 1 1/4 shaft Your trailer hitch with a second vertically mounted receiver looks ideal for what I need to do - namely tow a Hobie and transport bikes. The 2inch mount for the hitch itself is perfect. But my bike rack needs a 1 1/4inch receiver. Short of buying an entirely new bike rack, is there an for the upper receiver that could convert it for use with a 1 1/4inch bike rack?

Most bike rack manufacturers make adapters for their 1-1/4 inch shafts to fit a 2 x 2 inch trailer receiver. If you want to send me the manufacturer and model information for your bike rack, I am happy to make a recommendation for you.
Another route you could take is to use a hitch adapter, such as this Brophy Hitch Reducer # HT02. This hitch adapter would allow you to use your 1-1/4 inch bike rack with your 2 x 2 inch hitch receiver without pushing your bike rack as far away from your hitch as other hitch adapters.
